Standard LiPo and High Voltage (HV) LiPo batteries are used in RC modeling for high performance and low weight.

Standard LiPo cells have a nominal voltage of 3.7 V per cell, while LiPo HV cells have 3.8 V per cell, allow a higher charging voltage, and are lighter or more efficient at the same performance level, thanks to an optimized chemistry.

The S value indicates the number of cells, while capacity (mAh) defines runtime.

The C rating affects punch and throttle response.

LiPo HV batteries require a dedicated HV charging mode; both types must be used with compatible chargers.
